It's a shame that these issues drag what is an otherwise enjoyable game down, as they are exactly the kind of problems that are easily remedied when developers are given enough time to polish their product and iron out the niggles. While Star Trek has its moments, it's ultimately another disappointing movie tie-in that fails to live up to its box office billing.

Star Trek: The Video Game is poor. For Trek fans, theres plenty to like in spite of its weaknesses, but for the average gamer, its a rental, at best, and probably something youd only pick up if you want or need a co-op game.
